As an off shoot of the recent query about returning donated items, I am now
rethinking how to do an upcoming deed of gift and looking for wisdom. I
will soon be receiving an item from a family that has previously donated
manuscript materials and photographs related to their great-grandfather, a
local business owner. The new object was in the home of a woman who passed
and the home is being sold which prompted a conversation about the object.
There are 12 cousins/grandchildren to the object's owner. I had planned to
do the deed of gift with the executor of the estate/woman selling the home
but should I include more family members?
Thanks,
Julie
