Bookkeeper, Art Gallery, New York City For our renowned and rapidly expanding art gallery client we are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper. The successful applicant will oversee the verification and proper posting of all financial transactions of the gallery and its subsidiaries. Duties include: issuing invoices; managing credit card and petty cash transactions; recording incoming client payments and outgoing vendor payments; creating reports and financial analysis as necessary; managing the Gallery Owner's personal financial transactions and related household expenses; other duties as required. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years accounting experience with an art gallery or arts business and extensive knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel and GAAP and Inventory Accounting.
