Hi Mary,

As others have pointed out, your tours sound like they could benefit from
more interaction in general. People of all cognitive abilities like to be
engaged with a tour and not just be told a bunch of facts and figures. This
sounds like a great time to update your tours in general.

As for physical and cognitive delays, unless they have specific issues like
limited sight or hearing, you treat them like any other tour. If they need
additional accommodations like braille tour guides or a sign language
interpreter, they should let you know. If they are bringing children in
wheelchairs or other assistive devices and you have limited space, then you
should give them a heads up that space is tight and ask if that would be a
problem. If they can't access parts of your facility, then you need to plan
for that in your tour. Otherwise, they are a regular tour and you treat
them as a regular tour.

Best,

Deb Fuller
