Join the Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property in Edmonton, May 26th-30th, 2015 for our 41st Annual Conference & Workshops!

Two workshops will be held in conjunction with the Annual Conference:

 

3D SCANNING FOR CONSERVATORS will allow participants to explore the use of 3D scanning technology and rapid-prototyping solutions for condition reporting, mount-making, object reproduction, and digitization of collections. This workshop will take place in the sophisticated laboratories and smart classrooms at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Shell Manufacturing Centre on May 26th and 27th.  Limit of 30 participants.

 

CONSERVATION OF AUDIOVISUAL COLLECTIONS will be hosted by the Provincial Archives of Alberta and take place in their state-of-the-art audiovisual lab on May 27th. The workshop will include sessions on the theory and practice of preparing audiovisual collections for digitization or media migration.  Limit of 25 participants.

- Tours of the University of Alberta Art Collections, Old Strathcona, Downtown Public Art;
