Apologies for cross-posting. Someone on the BookArts list I subscribe to has found among her late father's possessions an original edition of the Doves Press Bible, printed in 1902-1904 at the press in Hammersmith, London. It is printed in the same Doves Type that was later thrown into the Thames by T. J. Cobden-Sanderson as the result of a bitter dispute over rights to the face with his partner Emery Walker. There has been quite a lot of talk about this on the BookArts list following the recovery of 150 pieces of the type from the riverbed of the Thames just this year.

If you work for or know of a museum, gallery or collector who might be interested in purchasing this rare book, please let me know and I will put you in contact with the owner.
Thank you,
Anne
