This is of interest to us as well as we are frequently offered little
antique items to sell.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Sale of Antiques and Vintage Items in Museum Shop

We have a member who is looking for examples of a policy (museum store,
collections policy, etc.) that addresses the sale of antiques and vintage
items in the museum store. Certainly he's aware of ethical/legal issues
surrounding the sale of collection and deaccessioned items. This is a
question about policies regarding selling antiques and vintage items in
general. In addition to policy examples, he's also interested in any
articles written on the subject.

Thanks!
