Bookkeeper, Art Gallery, New York City

For our renowned and rapidly expanding art gallery client we are seeking an
experienced Bookkeeper.  The successful applicant will handle day-to-day
finances for the gallery and manage the owner's personal finances. Duties
include: working with the owner and staff to create and monitor annual
budgets, exhibition budgeting and summaries; manage payroll; assist with
sales transactions and related records; taxes preparation; accounts payable
and other billing and reporting functions; insure compliance; other related
duties as required.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years
accounting experience with an art gallery or arts business and knowledge of
QuickBooks, Microsoft OX and Adobe Suite.  BA and outstanding
communications, organizational and project management skills are required.
