Executive Assistant to the Director, Art Museum, New York City

For our world-renowned contemporary art museum and cultural center client we are seeking an Executive Assistant to the Director.  The successful candidate will support the Director in all administrative functions and organize and direct the operations of the office.  Duties include but are not limited to: review and respond to inquiries and requests made to office of Director; prepare and manage all correspondence and calls; maintain databases and files; manage Director’s schedule, including staff and other meetings, calls and events; arrange all national and international travel and related expense reports; research and coordinate information for Director as needed; assist in coordination of Board meetings and transcribe minutes;  help coordinate special events; other duties as required.  The ideal applicant will have 3-5 years’ experience in an Executive Assistant role at a major museum or cultural organization, excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a diverse calendar of professional obligations.  BA in Art History or equivalent and fluency in spoken and written Spanish required.
