Plant Estate in Moultonborough, NH. The Estate consists of a mountaintop historic house museum - a country estate built in 1914 in the Arts & Crafts aesthetic; the original stables or “Carriage House,” which houses an award winning restaurant and an Art Gallery; and 135 acres of beautiful grounds with stunning views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains. Visitors can also enjoy 28 miles of hiking trails on the surrounding property, as well as horseback riding and carriage rides. Off season: Flexible schedule. *Direct Supervisor:* Executive Director *Description:* The Operations Director is a critical member of the Castle in the Clouds senior management team. The Operations Director will provide strategic guidance and leadership to four operational areas: Visitor Services, Food Service, Wedding/Event Rentals, and Retail Operations with the aim of delivering an exceptional visitor experience and maximizing earned revenue. As a member of the senior management team, the Operations Director will also serve routinely as the Manager on Duty, providing day to day management of the museum operation. *Qualifications:* Ideal candidate will bring energy, vision, and resourcefulness to this position. The ability to multi-task and make decisions in a fast paced environment is key. Excellent communication, decision making, and leadership skills are required. Must have a working knowledge of non-profit or museum management principles and practices, as well as experience developing and managing a budget. Experience in a business, food service, or retail setting is also a plus.
