Hi Bev,I'm a second year graduate student at Johns Hopkins. They have an excellent museum studies program! I particularly enjoy this program because they offer many opportunities to choose your own courses within the program. They also offer a diverse set of classes from archiving and cataloging to education and public outreach.Another great program is George Washington University but it's a very rigorous and demanding program. Perhaps it will help your daughter to determine what exactly she wants to do in museums and then find a program that best fits her needs.Feel free to e-mail if you have any further questions.Good luck,Melissa Speck
Sent from my iPhoneI know this is a little off the subject of this listserv but I'm needing your help. A few months back there was discussion as to whether a person should go for a museum certificate or a degree so I thought I could use that as a jump-off point for my question. My daughter is trying to find a grad school that has a good museum studies program. Can anyone provide either some good schools that you know of or a place where she can find a list of schools. You can contact me off list as I'm not sure this is something everyone really cares about. Thanks for whatever info you can provide.BevBeverly LylesDir. of Advancement Services
