Hello,
We are planning an upgrade to an unfinished basement collections storage
area.
The space is about 25 years old, concrete floor with three exposed
concrete walls and one framed wall.
The upgrade will include finishing the framed wall as well as installing
a drop ceiling to provide a barrier between pipes/upper floor and the
collection. The space will eventually be used for stable
three-dimensional objects - no textiles, paper, fine-art, or sensitive
items. And water alarms are part of the planned upgrade.

Does anyone know of any construction related materials for floor, wall,
or ceiling we should avoid using in the space??
Or other renovation-related recommendations/advice?

Thanks
Julie
