Hello,

It's generally accepted as best practice to keep labels short and sweet but
I'm looking for current studies that explain why that is. A lot of what
I've been able to surface has simply reiterats the point without offering
research findings as to why shorter labels are more effective. The few
studies that I have turned up are over 20 years old. Does anyone know of
more current research around the subject of label length and visitor
reading time?

Many thanks!
Holly
