The owner of a now closed 51-year-old office supply business in Greensburg, Indiana, is offering a collection of around 70 typewriters and calculators and a few other pieces of vintage office equipment as a group or by the piece to any interested museum or other organization.

If you are interested or have a suggestion of someone else who might be, please contact the owner directly:

Bob Jackson, Jackson Office Equipment, Greensburg, Indiana, 812-663-2156

The building the collection is currently stored in needs to be vacated soon, so the machines will have to be given away or scrapped in the next week or two.  All of the equipment was acquired through normal business trade-ins over the past 51 years.  The manual, portable, electric, and electronic typewriters and desktop calculators range from the 1920s to the 1990s.  Most major brands are represented, but there are more Royal-brand typewriters and word processors as the business was a Royal dealer.  There is a late 1960s Victor early electronic desktop calculator with CRT display minus the outer case.

The owner is very knowledgeable about the individual models and he has a list of the available machines with their serial numbers that he can discuss by phone.
