Erika, A bit late to reply, but . . . . We're experimenting with OCR Software for a project and realized Google Documents can to the work for us. When uploading a scanned "pdf" to Google Docs, there is an option to "check" which converts the document to a readable text file. Thus far it's working well for our needs, and best of all - it's FREE! - David - David Lewis, Curator Aurora Regional Fire Museum www.AuroraRegionalFireMuseum.org -----Original Message----- From: Heurich House Archives <[log in to unmask]> To: MUSEUM-L <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wed, Jan 29, 2014 10:23 am Subject: [MUSEUM-L] OCR Software Hello All, I am interested to know if anyone uses OCR (optical character recognition) software in their museums, and if so, what software do you recommend?
