Executive Assistant to the Owner/Director, Art Gallery, New York City

For our world-renowned contemporary art gallery client we are seeking an Executive Assistant to the Owner/Director.  The successful candidate will support the Owner/Director in all aspects of her professional and personal calendar.  Duties include but are not limited to: manage all aspects for the Owner/Director’s schedule, including client and other meetings, calls and events; arrange all national and international travel; liaise with gallery and home staff, family and personal contacts; manage all correspondence and calls; interact with clients  and guests; provide administrative support; other duties as required.  The ideal applicant will have 5 -7 years’ experience in an Executive Assistant role at a major art gallery, auction house or equivalent, excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills, knowledge of contemporary art and the ability to manage a diverse calendar of professional and personal obligations.  BA in Art History or equivalent required: knowledge of French strongly preferred.
