Call for papers
"Archaeological Sources and Resources in the Context of Museums"
CIPEG Annual Meeting, Copenhagen, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, 26th - 29th August 2014
Papers related to the conference theme: Archaeological Sources and Resources in the Context of Museums are now invited. Many museums and collections hold artefacts from archaeological excavations, but how this legacy is dealt with, and whether it is valued as a resource or not, vary. The topics may include case studies, find-groups or individual objects.

As it is the CIPEG tradition, there is also an Open Forum for papers related to general museums work.

Papers will be in the form of 20 minutes' presentations followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion.

If you wish to present a paper, please send the title and an abstract (in English) of no more than 300 words to the secretary, Tine Bagh: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and cc. to the chair Gabriele Pieke: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Abstracts should be submitted as Word files and include your name, title, institutional affiliation (if appropriate) and full contact details information.

The deadline for receiving abstracts is Tuesday 1 July 2014!

If you wish to attend the annual meeting without presenting a paper please also inform us before Tuesday 1 July 2014.

Conference fee:
* 25 Euros for CIPEG members
*         50 Euros for non-members
*         25 Euros for students

Additional information will be posted on the CIPEG website: http://cipeg.icom.museum/ and via mailing.

For any further details regarding your stay in Copenhagen please contact Tine Bagh.

Sincerely yours,

Gabriele Pieke
