Full-time PositionHeritage Preservation, a national nonprofit organization in Washington, DC,
seeks an intelligent, energetic assistant for program work on emergencyinitiatives, approximately 90%, and external affairs, approximately 10%.
Responsibilities include maintaining communications with members of theHeritage Emergency National Task Force (www.heritageemergency.org) and
Heritage Preservation’s affiliated organizations; tracking media coverageof projects, publications, and major disasters; maintaining and updating
program websites; providing research support for reports and fundingproposals; handling logistics for meetings and travel; organizing and
maintaining program files; and other duties as assigned in support ofEmergency Programs and Heritage Preservation external affairs. The Program
Assistant reports to the Vice President of Emergency Programs.
The ideal candidate is well organized, hardworking, and detail orientedwith excellent communication and computer skills. Previous office
experience, knowledge of FileMaker or a similar database program, andexcellent writing ability are preferred. Experience with meeting
management, marketing, webinar administration, or social media is a plus.
Benefits are excellent and include a monthly transit allocation. HeritagePreservation will not cover relocation costs.
