Hope everyone had a great holiday
weekend!
I'm working on
updating the MOU between the city (owners of the museum/collection) and the
non-profit friends group that provides some financial support to the museum
and runs the gift shops. I've done a Google search for some examples (most of which
seem to be library) so thought I'd check with the group to see if you had an
example that worked well for your museum, or tips on what to
include/exclude/look out for in crafting an agreement.
Also, as a newbie to
the city-owned-museum world, is there a list serv/group for museum folk at those
museums to connect and share challenges/secrets to navigate the municipal
system? Quite a different world from the non-profit museum!
