Thank you, Marc.

( I aways learn so much from these posts!)

Joel's photographic work is in support of conservation efforts for animals, and he does work with many zoos.

all best,
Jill

Jill, you may want to clarify if Joel's expertise is in conservation of historic cultural material/objects, or in conservation of natural/animal/plant resources.  It is unfortunate that the same term is used for both.

If possible, could you post the message below? Thank you!

Hi everyone....
As a museum educator at a university museum, I have the opportunity to meet many interesting people. and sometimes you meet people who are just so good. So, I thought I would pass along this information, in case you are in need of a speaker/program.

Not long ago I had the great fortune to meet and work with Joel Sartore, a National Geographic photographer who is deeply involved with conservation through his beautiful photographs. He was a guest speaker at our museum (to amplify an exhibit of his work) and he was outstanding! So professional, down to earth, funny and fun, he was a huge success and drew a full house for our auditorium. I can absolutely recommend Joel, he is a delight.

To invite Joel Sartore to our museum, we contacted his studio directly (in Nebraska) and worked with his assistant who is extremely professional and easy to work with.

(Joel recently posted a TED talk —http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHf-Pft_5Bs— if you want to learn more, a blend of humor and serious passion....)

Sometimes you don't know what you are getting in a speaker, and/or, sometimes you need some ideas and suggestions for people/programs and I wanted to share this.
Contact me directly if you have questions, etc.
All best,
Jill
