The Board of Directors of the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum
(“NMHF&M”) seek to hire a high-energy, detail-oriented Executive Director
to creatively lead and manage the organization – a nationally chartered,
private nonprofit (501 C3) organization headquartered in Leadville,
Colorado. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate
will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for NMHF&M’s
staff, programs, local and national presence, and execution of its mission
– “to tell the story of mining, its people and its importance to the
American public”. .

Qualifications for the position include: Bachelor’s degree in business
administration, marketing, geosciences, engineering, museum studies, or
history; Successful track record as an executive manager, particularly in a
museum setting, for five to eight years; Demonstrated organizational &
financial management, positive and professional public relations, an
ability to advance successful fundraising programs; and Knowledge of, or
experience in, the United States natural resource industry would be
helpful.
