One thing I would lobby for is the inclusion of a human-readable URL
included.  Just like barcodes have the number printed below, I think QR
codes should have their info printed in text close by for those without
camera-bearing smartphones.  URL shorteners like TinyURL and Bitly are
great for this, giving the lower-tech visitor something to jot down and
look at later (or even on-site, as many tablets and such don't have rear
cameras).  Like QR codes, they can also be used for tracking usage which is
neat.
