Best wishes, Barbara, retired librarian
Look up Frederick, Maryland. They have quite a few trompe l'oeil artworks various places around town. I think it's the Philadelphia Art museum that has a Peale painting of someone going up stairs. Right below the painting is a 3-d step. -Carol > Does anyone have any thoughts, ideas, suggestions about the use of "trick > of the eye" imagery at museums? > > I am interested in two things: the general use of these types of images, > and their potential as way finding tools. > > Thanks, > > Dirk > > Dirk Van Tuerenhout, Ph.D. > Curator of Anthropology > Houston Museum of Natural Science > 5555 Hermann Park Drive > Houston TX 77030 > (713) 639-4674 ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
