John F. Kennedy University seeks a Chair for its Museum Studies Program. The program, which began in 1974, grants the MA (with specializations in Collections Management or Education & Interpretation) and the MA/MBA dual degree, in collaboration with the JFKU Management Program. The Chair is responsible for the management and leadership of the Museum Studies Program, as well as for teaching (as a Core faculty member) part of the Museum Studies curriculum. The successful candidate will have an MA or higher degree in Museum Studies or an allied field, along with relevant teaching and administrative experience. She/he will be an effective communicator and advocate, and will demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring in the museum field. The Chair reports to the Dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies and participates in College- and University-wide committees.
