I'm sure that many of you are already "blogging" what's happening at your respective museums and this may not seem new to you, but I thought I'd share it.

We have an abundance of interns this summer (we're very lucky!) and we decided to ask each of them to provide us with a weekly update (250-300 words) on the projects they're working on. Many of them were already required to do this for their courses, so it was a perfect fit. We decided to make it the skeleton on which the Museum's Blog would be built, having staff contribute occasionally as well. We've had good feedback from our stakeholders and it's becoming a great tool for keeping projects on schedule (since everyone knows they have to contribute something) and informing folks about what's happening on a daily basis. I think there are some that think projects or programs happen magically or with the assistance of elves, and the blog seems to demonstrate how much effort these things actually take.

I thought I'd share our efforts, and maybe others will see the value as well:
