Both organizations tell the important story of the Underground Railroad movement in the region. More information on these organizations can be found below. All tickets are $50. If you are unable to attend the performance, you may still purchase tickets that will be donated to members of the community who may not have the opportunity to attend otherwise. Benefiting Organizations The African American Cultural Center of the Capital Region, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to educating, enriching, and empowering residents of the Capital Region through a variety of educational, cultural and performing arts, programs, activities, and exhibits that promote awareness and raise the collective consciousness of all ethnicities to the rich and vibrant history, contribution, and culture of African Americans. The Underground Railroad History Project researches and preserves the local and national history of the anti-slavery and underground railroad movements, their international connections, and their legacies to later struggles; it engages in public education and dialogue about these movements and their relevance to modern society.
