The January 31st deadline to apply for the Frank and Peggy Steele
Internship Program at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is
quickly approaching.

The Steele Internship Program offers college students an opportunity to
work alongside Museum and Library staff to gain hands-on professional
training. Internships are available in the Curatorial, Development,
Education, Library, Public Relations, Sales and Licensing, and Special
Events departments. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate
in professional seminars and to complete short-term projects.

All internships are ten weeks in length from June 3 through August 9, 2013.
Interns receive a bi-weekly stipend totaling $2500 over the course of the
10-week internship. Housing is not provided; however a local college in
Oneonta, NY, offers affordable dorm housing to interns.

The Frank & Peggy Steele Internship Program welcomes applicants for the
Ozzie Smith Diversity Scholarship. Students of ethnically and culturally
diverse backgrounds pursuing a four year bachelor's or master's degree are
eligible for this scholarship. Complete scholarships are awarded following
acceptance into Frank & Peggy Steele Internship Program. Interested
candidates should attach a one-page statement of interest with your cover
letter and resume.

To be eligible, students must have completed their sophomore year and be
enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at a college or
university during the internship, or have just graduated in May 2012.
