Julia A. King, who is a professor of anthropology at St. Mary's College in St. Mary's City, Maryland, and a personal friend of mine, has a student who has put together a survey on interpreting slavery in Maryland museums. The survey has been approved by the college's Institutional Review Board and is also being distributed by the Maryland Association of History Museums.

If you work in a Maryland history museum, please consider responding to this survey. If you don't work in a Maryland history museum but know someone who does, please forward this link to them. The more who answer the survey, the better the results will be. It is fine if more than one employee of a particular museum responds to the survey.

Thank you!
