I would like to inquire about other museums and/or cultural institutions policies with reference to new acquisitions and what are the responsibilities of the pending donor?

 

Does the museum request the donor pay for packing/crating/shipping to that museum prior to acquisition? Or, does the museum have a budget in place for this type of acquisition activity? If so, how much funding is allocated towards that budget amount?
