The Wildling Museum seeks a Full-Time Development Director.  The Wildling,
located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, is dedicated to educating and
inspiring people about wilderness through art.  The museum will be moving to
a larger facility in Solvang this winter.  For the balance of this calendar
year, the development director will focus on raising money for the build-out
(over half is already secured) and then by the end of the year will move
into a longer-term campaign to include endowment gifts.  Additionally, the
development director will be responsible for grantwriting, annual and
special project appeals, expanding corporate support, organizing donor
cultivation events, etc. The development director will be responsible for
donor correspondence/acknowledgements, maintenance of donor database system
and support the board development committee.  Requirements: Bachelor's  or
equivalent, minimum 3 years development experience, excellent written/verbal
communication skills, demonstrated track record in grantwriting and
in-person solicitations.  Excellent computer skills, knowledge of donor
management systems a must. Must enjoy a fast-paced, small office
