Home to one of the nation’s finest collections of contemporary Native American fine and traditional arts, The Heritage Center at Red Cloud Indian School seeks a Collections Manager to document and preserve the 10,000-item permanent collection of The Heritage Center. As an integral part of the department and reporting to the Curator, the Collections Manager will undertake various duties related to management and registration of the collection. S/he will also support the day-to-day functions of the Curatorial Department. A bachelor’s degree in Museum Studies, Art History or related field is highly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in collections management and art museum registration, knowledge of museum cataloging procedures, and good verbal and written communications skills desired. A working knowledge of NAGPRA preferred.
