Description: 

The Kennesaw State University Art Museum is seeking a full time employee for the role of Operations Manager for the museum.  The Operations Manager will serve as project manager for the upcoming move of the museum into a new facility.  S/he will work with the Collection Manager to design and implement plans for the move and storage of the permanent collection; work with the Director to identify and realize solutions for office space planning; coordinate all logistical aspects of move including transfer of phone lines, move and setup of electronic equipment, construction for sculpture display in lobby, and work with architects on construction details that overlap with museum needs.  

Duties of the Operations Manager include facilities management (including but not limited to the organization of security, lighting, and staffing for galleries; scheduling; management of HVAC, maintenance, equipment and chemical inventory and storage; and coordination of technology and A/V needs); crisis management (including but not limited to safety, disaster preparedness, and staff training); and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the museum.  The Operations Manager will serve as a liaison between the museum and the connected Bailey Perfomance Center, as well as other campus organizations, and serve as preparator as needed.
