Branigan Cultural Center

Develops educational programs and exhibits for the Branigan Cultural Center, and coordinates marketing, advertising, promotions and technical support activities.  The Branigan Cultural Center is one of the four museums of the City of Las Cruces Museum System.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s Degree in education, history, art history, liberal arts, museum studies or related field AND two years public art or museum program management experience OR a combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.  Master’s degree is desirable.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Dedication to education, arts, and American history. Ability to implement educational programs and to communicate with diverse populations.  Strong management, planning, budgeting, decision-making, & time management.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, museum patrons, volunteers and community organizations.  Ability to generate documents, posters, and brochures using a personal computer. Strict deadline adherence is required. Includes evening and weekend work for openings, exhibitions, programs, and classes.

SALARY RANGE:

$37,040.84 - $55,561.25 plus generous benefits

Hiring Range: $39,000 to $41,500
