Senior Specialist – Traditional Chinese Works of Art, New York

For our renowned auction house client, we are seeking a Specialist in Chinese Works of Art for the New York office.  The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in dynastic works of art from Han through Qing, and intimate knowledge of the international market and prices. The successful candidate will have worked with a variety of global clients; source property; determine authenticity; catalogue property for private and public sales; serve as a primary liaison with consultants and other independent experts; and be the senior specialist in the department.  The ideal applicant will have at least 5  years’ experience in a similar position and possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills.  BA and fluency in English and Mandarin required.  Excellent salary and benefits.  Please send a cover letter, resume and three references directly to [log in to unmask].
