Dear friends of MUSEUM-L, this may be of interest:

At the Global Development And Environment Institute, Tufts University, they are offering a new resource that may be of interest.  It is a very comprehensive Social Science Library (SSL), and there is an online version but the entire contents can be distributed in the form of both USB drives and CD-ROMs (so it does not require internet access).  For a brief description:

This project is a contribution to the UN's Decade for Education in Sustainable Development, and they are currently seeking "distribution partners" to make this resource available to educational institutions worldwide, especially the countries listed here:

http://www.ase.tufts.edu/gdae/education_materials/ssl_countries.html

They still don't have distribution partners for the countries whose names are in black.  If you are interested in making this available to schools in your country, please contact the SSL staff for more information on how to obtain these materials:

Please forward this notice to friends and associates who might be interested.  I am not personally associated with the project, but really think many schools in developing nations would benefit.

Sincerely,
Luis
