Registration for the 2012 Summer Educational Institute for Visual Resources and Image Management (SEI) is ongoing. SEI 2012 will take place June 19-22 at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Class of 2011 alumna Jennifer Kniesch has this to say about the value and influence of her experience: SEI was an amazing experience that has influenced my work in the present and will continue to do so in the future. I learned from specialists that understood participants' technological, managerial, and institutional issues. Instructors incorporated hands-on training that was usable and authoritative. The entire institute went swiftly, smoothly and was jam-packed with events that included trips to local cultural institutions, which made networking fun and easy. I am looking forward to attending SEI again, in order to refresh my knowledge with the most up-to-date information about all the subjects covered by SEI: cataloguing, image editing, transitioning skills, project planning, strategic planning, new social media platforms and applications, and intellectual property concerns. -Jennifer Kniesch, SEI 2011 participant Visual Resources Librarian Art and Art History Department Dickinson College For information about SEI 2012 visit: http://sei.vrafoundation.org/index.html To register visit: http://sei.vrafoundation.org/registration2012_form.php Sincerely, Elizabeth Schaub, SEI Co-chair Director, Visual Resources Collection School of Architecture The University of Texas at Austin 1 University Station, B7500 Austin, TX 78712-0222 [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> Betha Whitlow, SEI Co-Chair Curator of Visual Resources Department of Art History and Archaeology Washington University in St. Louis 1 Brookings Dr. St. Louis, MO 63130 ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
