Senior Sales Director, London, UK For our world-renowned London gallery client we are seeking a Senior Sales Director. The ideal candidate will handles all aspects of sales of international Contemporary Art including: marketing and sale of primary and secondary market work; create, develop and maintain client relationships and continue to expand relationships with existing clients; advise collectors and museums in building collections; develop relationships and liaise with selected gallery and other artists; manage an assistant and mentor junior sales staff; contribute to the long and short-term strategic sales plans and related initiatives; contribute to the gathering and analysis of sales and market data; assist in generating and overseeing individual client development plans; appear and represent the gallery at art fairs, auctions, public events and other arts & culture programs; liaise with the CEO and Sales Directors regarding pricing and discount decisions; other duties as necessary. The successful applicant will have at least 5-7 years' experience in a major gallery with a focus on international Contemporary Art, detailed experience of the London and international markets; proven track record of sales including sales at art fairs; highly developed client list and the ability to continue sourcing clients and expand upon existing contacts; and excellent networking, teamwork and relationship-building skills. BA or MA in Art History required and superb communications, organizational and management skills are essential. Languages a plus.
