HI Meg,

Another product you may consider is Fastcap's Speed Tape - It is generally used by cabinet makers to adhere laminate to wood substrate. I am not going to vouch for its archival qualities, but in the Children's museum where I work it is one of the few products that has been mostly-kiddo-proof. We had tried some of the foam tapes, but found them to be both weaker and more destructive to the walls upon removal. In most cases we have been mounting larger sheets of 1/4" PVC Foam board to the wall with it.

Anyhow, I hope this is helpful - best of luck!

I should say that we haven't been having trouble getting stuff to stay stuck to the wall.  We've been having trouble getting stuff to stay stuck to the foam core for any length of time.  Including, oddly enough, the adhesive on velcro.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  This gives me several options to pursue.
