Have you tried velcro? There's an industrial type (that has sticky sides
for the wall and the panel) that's particularly good. (We've used it
successfully in cases where no other tape would hold for more than a couple
hours - including on wood that had a varnish wash and paint.) (The velcro
will not be reusable, but you can remove it from the wall and the panels to
reuse the panels again.)
