Cheryl,

Monticello has been using a system of UV film that is held in place by a non-intrusive frame on their windows. Contact them for details.

Cheers!

All,

We are looking at replacing the UV filtering plexiglass in our historic house museum.  Currently, we have plexi panels attached to the frame around the window with Velcro strips.  My supervisor would like me to consider installing a hanging film/thin sheets from the backs of venetian blinds rather than have plexi panels attached to the woodwork around the window.  Does anyone have experience with films used like that, also any preferred sources?  Please let me know your thoughts, the pros and cons, etc.  Thanks much. --Cheryl
