Do you have a Mac workstation on hand? You could pull the video off the DVD and do some editing in iMovie which is one of the applications built-in to recent versions of the operating system. -- Brett Rodgers Online Marketing and Communications Manager National Building Museum | 401 F St. NW Washington, DC 20001 | 202.272.2448 ext. 3109 -----Original Message----- From: Museum discussion list [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Clarissa Dean Sent: Thursday, January 12, 2012 9:01 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [MUSEUM-L] DVD editing Good morning, We are putting together an exhibit of combat and medical art from WWII. We have a DVD of interviews with combat artists and would like to show clips of it. Unfortunately we are putting together this exhibit on a shoestring budget and are not able to get professional help with editing and making a video. Does anyone know of software we can use to get clips from a DVD? We have permission from PBS to show the documentary but I realize we might run into problems with copyright. Many thanks, Clarissa Dean Museum Technician National Museum of the US Navy Washington Navy Yard, 20374 Phone: 202-433-6897 ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
