Good Morning,
I am currently working for a museum in transition and need some
advice. We have been working on an educational program and come across
some objects that have been deaccessioned, but never gotten rid of. We
would like to use the objects in our program and were wondering if we
should re-accession them, give them a temporary inventory control
number, or something else. Should they be given 2011 accession numbers
or use their old ones? Our director would like to use the objects in
the future so we think bringing them into the collection again is a
good idea, but aren't sure the best practice way to do it. Is there
articles anyone can think of that might help?

Thanks in advance!
Katie
