The tyvek at lowes is the hard tyvek, which has limited uses. Also it has writing on it, so cannot be directly against an artifact, the ink could smear. I hear that sailboat supplirs may have soft tyvek, that is used for sails, but never got a chance to investigate.
Hello,
Has anyone seen tech. evaluations of different "types" or "styles" of Tyvek for use in museums? I know that various archival supply resellers have Tyvek that is advertised as "archival" quality but in what way does that differ from the Tyvek at Lowes? Thank you.
