Hi
you can do it with Adobe Encore (pretty expensive
if that's all you plan to do with it).
Alternatively, you could write the captions onto
the video track itself using any video editing software on the market (windows
movie maker will do it - Avid Studio or Premiere Elements would be better as
both can write your DVD for you).
As I side issue I wouldn't reccomend going from VHS
to DVD unless you have no chance of access to the original source material - as
the quality of VHS is very shabby when viewed on a big screen - plus, it'll be
4:3 ratio rather than today's 16:9 widescreen
monitor shape.
If you have to use your VHS source, you might
consider trying to clean it up a bit, but that's a professional
job.
if you do have the source material, or want to
clean up your VHS - or if you just need the captions doing professionaly, drop
me a line off list as I might be able to help you out.
