Auction Specialist, Prints; Positions Available on East & West Coast
For our internationally prominent arts business client, we are seeking an Auction Specialist in Prints for their online auction services.  The successful applicant will work with sellers, gallery owners, dealers and collectors to build an inventory of prints available at online auctions. The Specialist will manage the existing account base and grow new business, target new sellers, markets and areas of interest and identify art suitable for the auctions. Duties include coordinating theme-related and seasonal auctions; maintaining effective levels of inventory; working closely with marketing, management and other sales staff to meet and anticipate client needs and relations; reviewing trends, pricing and initiatives within the auction house market; other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have strong general knowledge of international prints with a focus on Modern and Contemporary work, a proven sales record with a focus on top tier clients, the ability to perform in a highly competitive market and excellent communications, networking and negotiating skills. Minimum 4 years in sales at an art gallery, auction house or related business and BA in art history required.
