The Top Ten Things That an Exhibits Director Would Never Say:

10.   Kids love to play with real swords!
  9.   Do you want more money ?
  8.   I think a Kiosk with Facebook on it is perfect!
  7.   If we build it, they will come!
  6.   We need labels for tall people!
  5.   Use mirrors, they'll see themselves and wonder...
  4.   Is there anything plywood doesn't solve?
  3.   Deadlines? We don't need no stinking deadlines!
  2.   Who needs to plan? We just throw it up there and whatever sticks, exhibits!

And now, the number one thing an Exhibit Director would never say:

  1. (To Executive Director) - Did they give you a degree for that?

Cheers!

Hi folks,

Here's something light for Friday. I am writing a little article of a humorous nature about things an exhibits director would never say. (Think: David Letterman top ten list) I would love to have some help brainstorming phrases that a museum or science center exhibits director would be unlikely to utter. For example, "We couldn't possibly spend all of that." or "I don't think kids will try to climb up there." Deadlines, budgets, visitors...anything that intersects with the exhibits process is fair game.

Cheers.
