Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Japanese textiles

I am looking for a good beginning resource for learning about Japanese textiles, kimonos in particular.  What I know about them could fit in a thimble, and the board president for one of the small museums I freelance for has just all but handed me a large stash of them, so I need to get up to speed quickly.

 

We do intend to consult with an expert, but I'd like to at least sound like I know what I'm talking about before we do.
