The Morris County Park Commission is requesting proposals and qualifications from qualified individuals and/or firms for the creation of a general collections survey for a portion of the collections owned by the Morris County Park Commission.

Qualified Consultants are being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.1, et seq.   The scope of work may include any or all of the following: meeting attendance with owner, site visits, assessment of current storage conditions, assessment of collection materials (paper and objects), written report including prioritized recommendations for collections storage, and estimated costs for recommended solutions.

Said request for proposals (RFP) will be available from the Morris County Park Commission Administration Building, PO Box 1295, 353 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township, New Jersey, on or after Thursday, September 1, 2011 during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., prevailing time, Monday through Friday.  The above information will also be accessible from the Morris County Park Commission’s website at www.morrisparks.net under the Public Bids link.

Deadline for submitting responses for qualifications and proposals is no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2011.  Two unbound copies of the qualification/proposal packets shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “COLLECTIONS SURVEY” to the attention of Lynn Laffey, Curator of Collections & Exhibits, Morris County Park Commission Administration Building, P.O.
