The Great American Hall of Wonders exhibition curator Claire Perry discusses the idea of the United States as a “great experiment” and how inventive energies in art, science, and technology shaped the nation during the 19th century. Exploring 19th-century citizens’ belief in the transformative power of American ingenuity, Perry poses questions that resonate with current impulses to innovate and explore. This talk is free and open to the public.
