I too believe it hinges on the donor's intent. If they donated it expecting
its value to draw attention to the fundrasier as well a decent profit for
the organization, then yes, keeping it is wrong. The best solution is to
find a true friend of the organization who will buy it at auction and donate
it back to the institution.
