The Mountain-Plains Museums Association presents its Annual Awards to honor the achievements of leaders and museums that contributed in meaningful ways to their communities each year. You can nominate museum colleagues, yourself and a museum. AWARD CATEGORIES Hugo G. Rodeck Award for Excellence Recognizes an individual member of MPMA who has contributed significant service to the museum field within the MPMA region and to MPMA. Museum Institutional Leadership Award Recognizes an MPMA member institution for its leadership or significant contribution to the museum field within the MPMA region. Excellence in Publication Award Entries are judged in two budget levels a. Books and Exhibition Catalogues b. Invitation, Development or Promotional Package c. Brochures and Rack Cards d. Magazines, newsletters, quarterly or biannual publications Technology Competition Recognizes museums for innovative and effective use of technology to serve the needs of their audience. • Online Presence—websites and online exhibits • Multi-media—examples include interactive kiosks, interpretive interactive installations, videos, and audio/visual tours Why should you submit a nomination? 1. It's simple and takes only a few minutes. 2. If your nominee is selected, you and the recipient will be recognized in your local community and nationally during MPMA’s 2011 Annual Conference. 3.
